Description Notes

Steel beam and fittings; swan’s neck ends; self-locating knife-edge and ring bearing; steel index. Gallows with pointer to match index and ring bearing with hook. Two circular, deeply dished silvered pans with suspension cords. Fitted wooden box. Silver clip fastening; silver hinges; slot with lid and silver hinges decorated with engraved scroll work for 8 silver carat weights; engraved 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 3, 2 (1 missing). [DJB - at 150 carat to Troy ounce - therefore for diamonds]. Slot in base for scoop/tweezers.

Condition fair; incomplete (1 carat weight missing).
