Description Notes
Equal arm type. Mahogany box. Brass column, pans and weights; steel beam and pointers. Pointers: one fixed rigidly to column; second pivoted to beam with retaining spring to facilitate folding into box. Steel keyhole hangers; circular weight pan with rectangular extension from hanger and shallow rim; ‘Doll’s head’ coin pan; brass link and rest for weight pan; cranked brass column with steel terminals with hinge folding automatically. Spaces in box for 5 weights (2 missing); stamped ‘5:8’ (guinea), ‘2:16’ (1/2 guinea) and ‘1/2’ (sovereign). clip fastening. Velvet lining in box.
Condition good; incomplete (2 weights missing)
