Description Notes

Oxidised brass drum with glazed ends, containing magnetized bar and ring compass (32 points) and silvered clinometer dial, graduated 0 - 90 - 0 - 90 - 0, numbered by 10, divided to 1. Spring lock for compass. Knurled screw clamps for both compass and clinometer. Brass telescopic sight; single crosshair reads scale on edge of both rings to a single degree. Sliding objective with dark glass.
Threaded socket for tripod mounting.

Condition good; complete.
