Description Notes
Brass plate with 3 levelling screws. Standard inclining dial with hour scale divided III - XII, I - IX, numbered by I, subdivided to 15 minutes. Solar declination scales engraved for every 10˚ of the zodiac and marked with the relevant date as well (1st Aries at 21 March). Cardinal points marked in Latin. Folding gnomon for 50˚ N with plumb bob which moves over latitude scale divided 40˚ - 60˚, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚. Horizontal azimuth dial with elliptical hour scale divided III - XII, I - IX, numbered by I, subdivided to 15 minutes. Folding vertical gnomon moves in slot with zodiac scale and date scale (divided to 10˚ of the zodiac).
