Description Notes

Brass; four rules jointed together in pairs. Shorter pair jointed to longer pair in centre. Joints by brass pins. Turned brass feet below all four joints and ends of long rules with ivory castors. Two rules graduated with scales of proportions: 1-2; 11-12; 10-11; 9-10; 8-9; 7-8; 6-7; 5-6; 4-5; 3-4; 2-3; 1-3 to 1-12. Two brass sliders with knurled brass clamps and pencil holders with clamps. Pointer holder with clamp. Pulleys.
Weighted base; copper pointer; pencil holder and cup for weighting pencil with groove on edge for lifting pencil. Brass ruler (?) graduated 18 - 0 - [90] by 10 to 1 with pivoted clamp (?function). Fitted wooden box
