Description Notes

Anatomical model of a jellyfish, by Deyrolle, French, c. 1900.

Rectangular black base, of painted wood. Jellyfish shown in half exposing internal organs. The model appears to be made of plaster. Painted pale green. Its condition is good to fair, with some exposure of the fabric that the plaster was applied to. At the top left corner is a metal label with ‘Les Fils D’Emile Deyrolle’ ‘46 Rue de Bac, 46’ ‘Paris’. The bottom middle of the base is a paper label with the above inscription and the address above.
