Description Notes
Silver; octagonal base set on compass box with single turned foot; hinged dial plate IIII-XII-VIII by 1 to 15’; plate and folding 60o style decorated with engraved foliage on a niello ground; folding latitude arc 0-60o by 10 to 1o; hallmark like symbol on verso; inset compass in base plate silvered 8 point rose; fleur-de-lis north marked 12o W for magnetic variation and 0-90-0 x 2 by 10 to 2o; base plate with a list of towns and latitudes; verso of base plate with decorated compass box and list of towns and latitudes.
Condition: good (very tarnished).
