Description Notes

Brass; set on compass box as foot; the verso with an equation of time calendar ‘SUN TOO FAST SUN TOO SLOW’; silvered compass rose, 8 points, fleur de lis north, and 0-90-0 x 2 by 10 to 1; lever operated lift-off compass needle. Pair of bubble levels. Latitude arc 0-60o; silvered hour circle IIII-XII-VIII by 1 to 5’ with major world cities marked for local noon (see file).
Brass box with pushfit lid. Carries numbers D338 and 66-19. These appear to the NMM object and accession numbers.

Condition: good.
