Boxwood quadrant with brass sights on right hand edge.
Obverse: Gunter projection for 51˚ 30´ N. Date scale divided to named month, subdivided to 1 day (1st Aries at March 20/21). Ecliptic arc divided to zodiac sign, subdivided to 1˚. Horizon arc divided [0] - 40˚, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚. Circumference divided [0] - 90˚, numbered by 10˚, subdivided to 1˚. Curved hour lines for summer and winter divided 6 - 12 - 8, numbered by 1, with half-hour lines also shown. Curved azimuth lines divided 0 - 120˚, numbered by 10˚. Some stars marked (see history file).
