Description Notes

Silver ‘book’ with 6 ivory leaves; shut with clasps held by a silver cased propelling pencil.
Front ‘cover’: 5 columns for ‘Monat des Jahr’ by named month; ‘Sonenlauff’ by zodiac symbol; ‘Tag lang Nacht lang’ divided 8 - 17- 7 and 16 - 7 - 17, numbered by 1; ‘[sun] auffgang [sun] Untgag’, divided 8 - 3 1/2 - 8 1/2 and 4 - 8 1/2 - 3 1/2.
Back ‘cover’: disc with marked window showing days of the month and with days of the week given on the disc in German.
Inside of covers lined with faded red silk.
