Description Notes
Case of instruments for surgery.
Paper case covered with green embossed leather. Folds 3 times with silver clip fastening. Green velvet lining and fittings for instruments and green satin pocket. Containing: 3 Bistouries all folding into tortoiseshell handles; all straight; 1 blunted; clip holds blade in position; steel blades. 2 blunt needles. 1 pair steel dressing forceps. 1 spatula. 2 directors with guards; 1 silver. 1 plain director; silver. 1 razor (corn knife (?)) folds into tortoiseshell handle. 1 probe with forked end and ‘T’ handle; silver. 1 male catheter with canula for epistaxis; silver. 1 pair steel scissors, curved and round ended.
