Printed lettterpress broadsheet, Rabalio’s rules for using a barometer. Printed on one side only, with contemporary MSS docketing on reverse. Page length text, in 2 columns, of instructions for using a barometer. Mounted and framed. No longer framed (03/01/01)

Description
These instructions were prepared by the barometer maker Peter Rabalio of Birmingham in about 1789. Their purpose was to assist barometer owners to interpret the barometer reading and its tendency – whether the mercury was rising or falling — and thus to predict the likely changes in the weather.
