Description Notes

Hinged surveying / levelling staff by Stanley, c. 1850-1890.

Box wood, 4 fold pole. Paper scale divided [0] - X feet numbered by 1 ( with V for 5). Each foot divided [0] - [10] numbered by 1 subdivided to 0.02. Sections swivel out from each other and are clipped in place by spring catch and notch.
