Description Notes

Balance; steel beam and fittings; bow bam ends; self locating knife edge and ring bearing; index over; gallows with ring bearing hook and tassle; double aperture below. Two circular brass pans with suspension cords. Fitted and shaped wooden box. Two slots for weights (none extant). Paper label in lid. Hook fastenings.
Possibly 6 weights when bought by Whipple, entry is hard to make out.

Condition fair (some rust on beam, lid broken in two); incomplete (weights missing)
