Seven advertisements for lectures on astronomy. Black ink printed on paper. Various type faces and point sizes.
4600.1 Lecture on ‘OURANOLOGIA, AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE UNIVERSE’ given on Saturday April 21st, 1821 by Mr. Bartley. Outline of lecture given below.
4600.2 Mounted on paper. Lecture on ‘Astronomy’ by Mr. C.H. Adams Astronomy, to be given on Friday, February 10th, 1837. Pencil insertion gives Adams as ‘of Edmonton’.
4600.3 Lecture on the ‘Orrery’ by Mr. C.H. Adams, on March 27, 1861 (date added in pencil). Print is folded in two.
4600.4 Lecture on ‘The phaenomena of the Heavens and of the Earth’ delivered by Mr. Bartley. Friday March 29th 1822.
4600.5 Series of lectures on astronomy, ‘illustrated by the new Dioastrodoxon, or, grand transparent orrery’ by Mr Lloyd to be given at the Theatre in Rochdale, on August 8th, 10th & 13th (Wednesday, Friday, Monday), 1810.
4600.6 Lecture on ‘Astronomy and the Structure of the Universe’ delivered by Mr. Bartley, on Friday March 30th, 1827. Mounted on paper.
4600.7 Lecture on the ‘Dioastrodoxon or, grand transparent orrery’ to be given by Mr. Lloyd on Friday October 8th 1824. Mounted on paper with dark green outline. Mounted on the same piece of paper, beneath the lecture advertisement is a newspaper report of the death of a Mr Jones of the bankers firm Jones and Lloyd.

Condition good (4600.2, 4600.3, 4600.6, 4600.7), fair (4600.1, 4600.4 and 4600.5 - tattered edges); complete.
