Description Notes

Polarimeter mounted on brass column, on iron tripod base. Truncated degree scale at objective end with lever which adjusts something inside the tube. Hinged cover for specimen holder, which contains a glass specimen tube with screw-fit cap. Eye-end with vertical degree circle divided 0 - [360] numbered by 10 subdivided to 15’. Degree circle rotated by knurled brass screw. 2 verniers read to 0.05’. 2 reading microscopes (with screw-fit eyepieces) move over the degree scale. Screw-fit eyepiece.
