Description Notes

Wooden box with brass hinges and catch. Lined with red velvet.
Brass map reader with glass in base etched with a cross; mounted above this a small magnifying glass. (for magnifying points on maps)
Brass map pricker also with glass rectangle etched with a cross but this one is hinged. Opposite side has a brass lever arm carrying a pin which coincides with the centre of the cross, when it is lowered. (for marking the point on a map).
