Description Notes
Pine box with brass hinges and hook fasteners and (attachments for carrying strap?). Fitted inside and partially lined with green felt. Wooden base board with black-painted metal clamp and grooves for two wooden struts. Other side of board carries sheet of card pinned to the board and the main part of the instrument. This consists of two pairs of pivoted arms, at one end fixed to brass rod slotting into underside of board, at other end carrying pencil holder and tracking ball which traces the outline of the object under study.
Condition good (box battered); complete.
