Description Notes

Iron tripod stand with brass column supports a horizontal iron plate in which is set a flat brass plate, with a glazed brass rectangle set on top of it at the right hand end. Two knurled screws for adjusting the lower brass plate in some way. The glazed brass piece has a scale divided 0 - 100, numbered by 10.
Two microscope systems set above the plate on arced iron braces. Each has a wheel for adjustments graduated 0 - [100], numbered by 10, subdivided to 1. Left hand one has a rack and pinion adjustment with knurled brass screw; also the holder for an adjustable mirror below the iron plate. The right hand one has a second lens attached the side of the eyepiece with a mirror mounted above the secondary lens.
