Description Notes
Suspended coil, reflecting Galvanometer, Holder-D’Arsonval type.
Rectangular and turned wooden base; three brass levelling feet; two brass terminals on ebonite posts; cylindrical brass case with pivoted brass door in top and rectangular glazed window showing suspended circular mirror; coil on wooden former surrounding fixed iron core in gap of cylindrical magnet; central brass post supports suspension unit, which slides upward for removal. Two additional suspension units, each in a separate velvet lined wooden box; boxes marked ‘TESTING I’ and ‘TESTING II’; each box contains a typed label inside its lid
Condition fine (suspension intact; suspensions broken in additional units); incomplete (one levelling foot missing; mirrors missing in additional units).
