Description Notes

Moving iron, gravity-control, pointer Ammeter for vertical panel mounting; range 0 - 40 Amperes.
Cylindrical brass case with circular glazed window showing silvered plate with paper dial; non linear scale 0 - 40, numbered by 10; two brass terminal bars, with steel bolts, projecting from side of case, one marked ‘+’; printed paper note glued to back: ‘(INSTRUMENT No. 2666) In fixing up this Instrument the Positive lead is to be connected to the left hand Terminal looking at the front of the instrument, and the pointer should be set at 0, when no current is passing. June 13th 1893.’
