Description Notes

Two identical instruments, of metal coated with green enamel. Base with bubble level and screw attachment for setting on vertical pole (?). Three levelling screws. Metal lock for holding instrument in place. Main instrument has three feet which fit into the base. Mounted on a column is a bubble level and a vertical opaque white plastic plate mounted in metal surround; surround extends onto back of plate leaving three triangular portions free. Light source with wire and plug is attachable to front of plastic plate.
Original wooden box covered in green fibre coating, with metal reinforcements along edges and on corners. Leather strap for holding box open and leather handle. Felt on interior fittings and foam rubber pads. Metal lock with key on leather strap.

Condition good; complete.
