Description Notes

Tailboard camera, by Dallmeyer, c. 1870.

Mahogany framed tailboard camera. Base with brass runners. Rack and pinion with knurled screw for focussing. Horizontal sliding plate with brass clamp for lens mount. Black leather bellows. Ground glass hinged door at rear for loading plate. Knurled brass clamps. Brass lens. Leather lens cap. Slit in top of lens for aperture slides.

Brown leather carrying case with handle and brass fittings containing spare wooden sliding plate for interchangeable lenses and leather case containing four aperture slides.

Condition good; complete
