Description Notes
Brass open triangle beam, agate centre knife and end knife, beam divided 9[1/2] - [0] - 9[1/2] numbered by 1 graduated to 1/2. 2 stirrup hung pans all in aluminium but pans are platinised metal. Brass ‘J’ wires marked ‘L’ and ‘R’ with agate planes. Beam supported by circular pillar set on square base. Rods to knurled aluminium head knob which qoperates arresting mechanism. Horizontal member supports beam in ‘V’ shaped notches. Index pointer screw into horizontal bar on beam and moves over engraved ivory scale. Fitted drawer below wooden base, three levelling screws. Glazed mahogany case with lifting front window. Aluminium rider-slider (right hand side only).
