Description Notes

Brass instrument with base in the form of a rule, calibrated 0 - 6 inches, numbered by 1, graduated to 0.1 inches. From the right hand end rises a brass plate with suspension point for a magnetised iron needle. The needle has an adjustable balance weight; it turns over a 58mm radius silver arc calibrated 0 - 90˚, numbered by 10˚, graduated to 1˚.
