Description Notes

Copper thermostat on four copper legs consists of two chambers. Lower chamber has ventilation holes and hinged door at rear with brass and plastic handle. Upper chamber has two hinged doors on the sides and one on the back. Three chimneys at the front of the instrument. Sloping top has lid which slides apart and has central hole. Glazed window on front.
Upper chamber contains glass tube with mercury; lower section of tube covered in cotton wool.
