Description Notes
Waywiser or map measurer with paper dial under glass, and plastic handle. Small cog-wheel at end of instrument turns the needles on the dials. Dial on one side converts Centimetres to Kilometres. The other side measures kilometres, statute miles and nautical miles as required.
Cardboard box carries a full explanation of the use of the instrument and rules for converting between map scale and land measurement.
